Myers Park Blasts Hough 68-21

CORNELIUS, NC - Friday 9/20/19, Michael McArver - Myers Park is good. Real good. The Mustangs scored quick and often Friday night downing Hough 68-21. Hough had no answers on either side of the ball. Myers Park quarterback #10 Drake Maye put on a clinic placing the ball where it needed to be, and the stable of Mustang receivers followed suit showing how they can go get it.

Several amazing catches by the MP wide receiver crew. #5 Muhsin Muhammad had several big grabs, as did #9 Porter Rooks, and #32 Jordan Bly.

And that’s not all. Myers Park has a well structured ground game, a stingy defense, and a lightning fast group of special team players. Two blocked punts for TD’s by Myers Park’s #1 Twan Flip were impressive. Hough has struggled with punts in their previous 2 games due to injury issues and young players. Those troubles continued and Myers Park took full advantage. Hough head coach Matt Jenkins and the young Huskies move to 1-3 on season. Hough travels to Hopewell next week 9/27. Myers Park rolls on to 4-0, and will travel to Garinger next week.
